SMS Export Plus - Backup or Save text messages App Reviews

I like the app, it is a bit techy for some, but all in all it works well. I wish it had a few other features, but all in all.. It did the job.

It asked me to enable Remote Desktop and send my IP address. I did not want to do this...

I purchased this app almost a week ago to download my texts. I needed these ASAP for a deadline this coming week, and I was unable to get the SSH server setup on my laptop to connect to this app. Im a tech and has problems, so I can imagine how others feel trying to navigate this app without any support. They say they respond within 24 hours, but that simply isnt the case. I dont recommend this app.

I like to use this SMS backup tool. Function is very useful. The unique design. Simple and easy to use. SMS backup computer can quickly store and import.

This app was working really great for me. Then it starting closing on me every time I tried to back up anything and tech support gave me no helpful advice to fix the problem.

Customer service is not proactive and didd’t answer my question. There are several Text/SMS backup apps our there, this one didn’t impress me.

I wasnt sure if I would be able to get it to work correctly from what I read in the reviews. However, after a couple of tries, I finally figured it out. Being able to save my texts is important for certain documentation. I had hoped to print them out, there were countless pages, and it would have cost me an arm and a leg with ink and paper! The texts are all in one big file, and so far I have found no way to separate them. I actually backed up my phone, then deleted all of my text messages except for the ones from one person. It worked, but now the app keeps closing before I can save the files to a PDF. At this point Im thinking I shouldve just taken screen shots of the texts and printed those because it would have taken me a lot less time to do that!

This program was very difficult to navigate through! Then when it came down to saving, was halfway through download to excel and computer/excel sat in "not responding" mode forever. Not happy at all.

Requires you to download something into your PC. Wont simply export them to your email. Totally lame. I want a refund.

The windows desktop version doesnt work at all and the iPhone version exports a big blank excel file. I want my 3.99 back

This is not the "expensive" app I have purchased months ago. Why change it to an app which is not what the customers have not purchased for in the first place? Refund for those who have purchased it prior to the current update. This is not what we purchased.

Hijacked my sms text export and became this "text to group" app... Fraud!

This app totally hijacked (apparently through your update process) and replaced my perfectly good working SMS Export Plus that paid for and used on my iPhone 4s for almost a year . I have no use for this SMS to Group and I cant find SMS Export Plus anywhere. I got a related app that purports to do the same thing and more but it doesnt work . I want my SMS Export Plus back or my money and a good app that works with windows. 8/19-8/22 update... Ok so in fairness this app apparently does what it says it will do. And if you need SMS Export Plus, the support here will help you get it to work for Windows from you PC ONLY (not by WiFi/local network) connection anymore. They are working on further solution .

Why would an app that was purchased for the specific purpose of backing up my text messages be updated into an text message program? Why did they think I would need a program to send text when I already have that ability? Should I not have be given the option to add this new app/feature to my phone while keeping what I paid for? Now this app does not communicate with Bitvise SSH server nor the SMS Export Plus on my desktop! Please give us option to uninstall updates or redo the app so it does what we bought it for!! I want to be able to save my text messages again!!!

A year and a half ago I purchased sms export for 4.99 to be able to export text after divorce. I still use the app frequently until recently I tried and saw it was replaced with a group messaging app. I read so many other reviews that say the same thing. The developer needs to put it back, to what people paid for. I will not pay again.

I bought this app when it was a backup app. Now the most recent update totally changes the function and it no longer does what I bought it for. What the heck?!?!?

Dont waste your money... Does not specify you need a Mac computer in the details and even if you did its confusing

I attempted to contact tech support and there wasnt a send button. I could never get out of the screen. I had the app for all of 2 minutes before I had to delete. Why did I not look at the reviews first?!?!
